A library is the heart and soul of an institution. It is the storehouse of books and repository of knowledge. The librarian, Ms. Joba Tudu, of the department is a well qualified and experienced fellow. The departmental library has more than 3000 books concerning almost all books of four semesters. The library contributes to as many as 10 Journals / Magazines / Periodicals in Hindi and English. Besides this, newspaper in vernacular and in English are also available in the library.
Laboratories are one of the characteristic features of education at all levels. It would be rare to find any education course without a substantial component of laboratory activity. Physical Science Laboratory helps the students to understand the role of direct observation in physics and to distinguish between inferences based on theory and the outcomes of experiments. Biological Science Laboratory helps the students to study of biology which provides opportunities to develop an understanding of our living world.
Integrating Information Technology into Teaching and Learning process can be carried out through Theme-Centered and Software-Centered approaches. We are having 40 computers with multimedia software and internet facility; UPS with back up facility for 24 hours. It is useful for making the powerpoint presentations under the subject Information and Communication Technology.
One of the biggest attractions of our college is our Multipurpose Hall. As a great multipurpose space, the hall satisfies the needs of its assigned functions such as various cultural programmes, drama, speech of political readers / distinguish persons / educationists and some mega programmes as well as examination are the lime light of this hall. It is 942.25 square metres in area which can accommodate more than 500 people. It is important to make optimum use of this facility that extends beyond college hours. The premises are also using by IGNOU Study Centre and NCC.
Play is the key to physical, mental, intellectual and social well being of student. It impacts hugely on almost every developmental aspect of student's lives holistically and with multifaceted ways. It is 27,032 square metres in area. The students can play cricket in the space allotted for it. The student cricketers are well up in the game and they often play matches with other colleges. The playground has an ideal location, thats why, almost all Inter-College / Inter-University games are oftenly organized in this playground.
